Nokia 8 announced, Snapdragon 835, Dual Zeiss Cameras, and QHD display

Nokia returns to form in the high-end market with their recently announced Nokia 8 smartphone. There have been rumors about the handset, the most telling of which is Nokia’s return to the embrace of Zeiss back in July.

The Nokia 8 is armed with a 5.3-inch QuadHD display with Gorilla Glass 5, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz complemented by 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3090mAh battery, all running on an Android 7.1.1 with an Android O update already planned.

Of course, the Zeiss connection with the Nokia 8 is its dual 13MP f/2.0 rear cameras. It’s setup like Huawei’s P10 Plus where one sensor only takes monochrome shots while the other takes colored shots.
