3 Great Ultrabooks of CES 2016 | Hungry Geeks | Latest news

While  trying to find a new suitable notebook to accompany my life; CES 2016 came along and made me rethink my decision to get a new notebook. Here are 3 Great Ultrabooks we have been drooling over this CES 2016.

Razer’s Blade Stealth – Razer made a big splash disrupting an already full notebook ecosystem with powerful Blade laptops over the years. It seems that Min Liang Tan and his bad ass team wants more of the notebook market pie by building their own ultrabook. Gone are the days when gamers brag about the thinkness and brute force of a 5-pound machine; gamers nowadays are posh, stylistic, and fashionable; thus, Razer Blade Stealth.

This Ultrabooks boasts of i7 processors, 12.5 inch QHD touch displays, two regular USB ports, a Thunderbolt USB Type C port for charing, connecting monitors and other accessories. They also manage to squeeze in backlit RGB keys. Aethetically, it’s all great and wonderful, but lurking on its armor is chink – Intel’s HD 520.

Gamers, do not worry, Razer also announced an external desktop graphic enclosure. It could connect to your Blade Stealth through the Thunderbolt USB Type C port. Neat!

Razer Blade Stealth’s price starts from 999USD going up to a whopping 1,599USD.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon – Lenovo’s progress back to being relevant again was somewhat a bumpy roller coaster ride, but they seem to be on the right track especially after announcing this beautiful, full of machismo ultrabook – ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2016).

The 14 inch, 2.6pounds could house 1TB of SSD storage, 16GB of RAM and an i7 processor. Plus, it comes with fingerprint scanning technology for a touch of added security. For seems pretty steep to pay 2100USD for an ultrabook, but wait, before you judge, who would not want to make love to an acrobatic ultrabook that could flip back 175 degrees for you. Unfortunately, Lenovo stripped ThinkPad X1 Carbon of its touch function. You can only look at the screen, but you will not be able to perform any touching – action.

HP EliteBook Folio G1 – Have you ever been a fan of any HP stuff? No eh? Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, they just released a super sexy ultrabook with the EliteBook Folio G1. A 12″ machine, this might be Windows’ fighting chance against Apple’s 12-incher MacBook; which was a phenomenal hit.

This gorgeous machine is powered by Intel Core i7 procerssors, 8GB of RAM. up to 512GB of SSD memory, a backlit keyboard, and a beautiful slim, silver, metal-clad body. It boasts of an optional 4K resolution display, extends 180 degrees just like Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2016) above, and Bang & Olufsen speakers.

HP chose to make it as simple and minimalist as possible with only a 3.5mm jack on the left side of the ultrabook, and 2 Thunderbolt USB-C on the opposite side. EliteBook Folio G1’s price starts at 999USD.
