Filipino-made esports platform Kalaro launches in PH | News and Reviews
The AsiaGroup.com Inc. has officially launched Kalaro, their first esports platform in the Philippines, which aims to integrate gaming and social networking sites in a single, easy-to-use platform.
Originally made by a team of 4 Filipino tech experts and business leaders with a combined 85 years of experience, the Kalaro is bringing tournament management and corporate brand sponsorship features to its platform to cater to more than 43 million esports enthusiasts and companies in the Philippines.
The Kalaro platform acts as a virtual community for esports players, coaches, teams, influencers, team owners, leagues, and enthusiasts. Kalaro will allow members to meet other gamers, discuss trends in gaming, and receive updates about upcoming events or tournaments.
Its tournament management system means that it can act as a central hub for tournaments. This allows for seamless environment where gamers can complete a facility to launch and manage competitions on the web-app.
Business-minded gamers and corporate brands can also set up online storefronts. This will enable companies to advertise, sponsor, or even sell gaming equipment to gamers directly.
The Kalaro Platform is using Google’s Progressive Web App framework running on the Amazon Web Services infrastructure. It was made in collaboration with international corporate tech brands National Computer Systems of Singapore and ERNI from Switzerland. Locally, Kalaro is currently being supported by the Union Bank of the Philippines, DragonPay, GCash, and Globe Labs to make transactions safe and seamless.
“We want to provide our Filipino players with the best gaming experience. In the same way, we want corporate brands to further reach their market through the platform. We look forward to having a strong community of brands and Esports enthusiasts that can create new opportunities,” said Renalyn B. David, Board of Directors and Corporate Secretary of The-AsiaGroup.com Inc./Pnex Int’l Corporation.
As part of Kalaro’s launch, they will are planning to give up to 200 Kalaro Gems, merchandise items, and battle passes for Beta users and those who will qualify to be Kalaro Founding members. A Kalaro Founders Cup will also be held sometime this month.
