Microsoft to announce Surface Pro 4 this October – Hungry Geeks
With the release of iPad Pro last week, everyone is now eyeing for Microsoft’s next version of the Surface tablet. It looks like we won’t have to wait for a long time as reports say that Microsoft is announcing the Surface Pro 3 in their event on October 6.
The invite for the event doesn’t really say what devices are going to be release, but we expect that the latest version of their famous tablet will be announce together with the first official Windows 10 smartphone. It’s been nearly one and a half year since the last Surface Pro 3 was release and now is the best time to release it.
According to rumors, Microsoft will announce two new smartphones: the 5.2-inch screen Lumia 950 and a larger 5.7-inch 960 XL. Specifications are somewhere near 3GB of RAM, their usual 20MP Camera, a Quad-HD resolution and about 32GB of storage with MicroSD card slot at the back. There are also rumors that the Surface Pen will be released with the large XL variant much like the Note 5.
We are still not yet sure if the smartphones will sport USB-C charging ports, but don’t be surprised if they do as it is now being the market standard.
As for the Surface Pro 4, the internet is short on features but you can expect that it will sport the new Skylake processors that will improve the battery life and performance of the device. There are also rumors that Microsoft will release two variants of the Surface Pro 4.
