Amazon to switch Voice ID over Echo’s native speech processing feature.

If you have an Echo bright speaker, it will soon lose a significant privacy feature and be replaced with cloud-based voice-to-text processing.
Immediately, Amazon will stop allowing users to process message calls on-device.
Customers of Amazon’s Echo wise speaker will soon be informed of changes to the voice-request control process in an email from the business. Whatever Echo users say to Amazon’s Alexa engine will be sent out starting March 28.
According to Ars Technica, the move will stop native handling of speech demands in favor of a new Alexa+ function called Amazon Voice ID.
