AMD Ryzen Threadripper now available in the Philippines | Hungry Geeks | Latest news

AMD completes its comeback in the CPU market with the Ryzen Threadripper. Designed to take on the high-end desktop (HEDT) market away from the Blue team, AMD’s new processors packs up to 16 cores and 32 threads of sheer computational power.

Two SKUs in the form of the 1950X and 1920X are already available in the market with the 1900X coming on the end of August. Prices starts at PhP 47,500 for the 1920X, while we’re still waiting for the official SRP of the 1900X. Here are the full specs of AMD’s Threadripper series.

Threadripper checks all the boxes for the requirement of a high-end processor such as support for quad-channel memory, 64 PCIe 3.0 lanes, NVMe support, and native USB 3.1 Gen2 10GB/s. It’s worth noting that Threadripper will be using a different socket compared to AM4, the SocketTR4 X399.
