This year marks the 15th anniversary of epic-strategy franchise, Total War and as their way to celebrate it, they released a video showing their past games in the series. What makes it special is that they also included their yet to be released game, one of which is still somewhat of a mystery. At the 2:32 mark, a growl can be heard, accompanied by a bluish glow. Given that the franchise has always been known to loosely base on historical facts and figures, this is something “out-of-this-world”. Anyway, let’s just stop beating the bush and just agree to say that it is their way of teasing Total War: Warhammer.
The video also pointed out something given their description:
“This year Total War turns 15, becoming one of the longest-running series in gaming with 11 titles spanning over 2000 years of historical warfare. 2015 will be our biggest year yet, and this latest trailer will give you a hint of what’s to come. Digital and tablet title Total War Battles: KINGDOM, 10v10 team strategy in Total War: ARENA, and more…“
The last two games named made sense as they appeared in the video. But what of the word, “and more…”
Total War: Warhammer was leaked just the beginning of this year and it has garnered much attention to both fans of each franchises. Warhammer involves epic battles between multitudes of races such as orcs, humans, and dwarves, to name a few. It is a high-fantasy tabletop game that constitutes a sword and shield formula spliced with magic. Given that this is a fantasy franchise, this is one heck of a move from Creative Assembly.
