ASUS is adding introducing another member in their ProArt family: the Proart Creator Z490 10G motherboard. Designed for content creators, the board ships with its own ASUS Hyper 10G LAN Card for faster file transfers in between systems.
ProArt Z490 Creator 10G supports Intel’s new Comet Lake processors. Since it was designed for professional content creation, its I/O panel comes with two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C connectors that’s able to deliver speeds of up to 40Gbps. In addition, they can support up to 12 devices in a daisy chain and DisplayPort 1.4 video signals.
Those who have multi-GPU setups can also take advantage of three PCIe x16 slots to install several GPUs in a x8-x8-x4 configuration. Four DIMM slots are available for up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM running at 4600MHz.
Creators who have a dedicated NAS for file storage can use its 2.5G LAN connection for faster transfer speeds. If that’s not enough, ASUS will be including their Hyper 10G LAN Card for one of your PCIe slots for better transfer speeds and networking performance.
The ASUS ProArt Z490 Creator 10G as well as the brand’s other range of Z490 motherboards are expected to be available in retailers by the end of May 2020.
