In the Republic of Gamers Unleashed event in San Francisco, ASUS announced two new gaming monitors. Both displays features a 27″ IPS panels, but there are some significant differences between the two that will suit the different genres of gamers. Here are the specifications:

If you look closely in the specs sheet, the PG279Q has a 27″ WQHD IPS panel with a refressh rate of 144Hz, this monitor is suited to gamers who likes to play first person shooters as the refresh rate is more important than a higher resolution.
For the PG27AQ, it would be best for gamers who play RTS and simulation games because it’s more suited for higher resolution
Both of these monitors will be available in November starting at a price around $799. Official pricing of these two and the availability here in The Philippines is currently unknown. Stay tuned for more details.
