With the world of motherboards today striving for better performance, ASUS’s new approach to VRM management seems to be kicking off well. In a test by Hardware Unboxed in YouTube, they compared various motherboard brands in the X570 lineup when it comes to overall performance in MOFSET and PCB Backside temperature.
Utilizing a Ryzen 9 3900X @ 4.3GHz the ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero emerged on the top 3 against the Gigabyte X570 Auros Xtreme and MSI MEG X570 GodLike, two boards that are twice its price point. A proof that temperature management is highly optimized on the ASUS motherboard mentioned and ideal for gaming scenarios.
Alongside is the ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus priced at $190 performing the best among other brands in the graphs such as Gigabyte, Asrock, and MSI.
The test is using an open-air test with no direct flow over a 1-hour load stress test.
We’re quite surprised on the overall performance that ASUS can deliver by just simply focusing on VRM management. Seems that the brand has a winning approach this time, without breaking the bank and definitely will make some power users to re-consider their budget.
