The ZenFone 3 Laser is also a delight for mid-range smartphones for Php11,995. ASUS is able to maintain performance with a Snapdragon 430 processor that is quite capable for applications today and with a 4GB RAM for better multitasking. Ideally, the ZenFone 3 Laser is the company’s benchmark for mid-range smartphones and we think this is a hit.
ASUS also launched 3 notebook product which are the ZenBook 3, Transformer 3, and Transformer 3 Pro. With the price ranges of Php8,995 (Max) all the way to Php44,995 (Special edition deluxe), the company is now prepared to compete with top tier brands like Samsung and iPhone. ASUS is likely changing their strategy by gearing away in the price war and focusing on the high earning premium smartphones, this now makes ASUS a notch higher to be compared to top tier brands which most likely the goal of the company.
With this strategy of ASUS and comparing them with Samsung most likely the next steps of the compay will be better buying options like credit card pricing up to 12 months 0% interest, enter into the postpaid market by partnering with local telcos, more service centers and go head on head with Samsung and iPhone when it comes to innovation.
