Best Tech of 2015 – Hungry Geeks

2015 is almost over and a lot of tech companies made a statement for their cool inventions and innovations. There were a lot of gadgets that were released this year and we listed out the best ones. Maybe these can give you an idea on what to give out this Christmas.

GoPro Hero 4 Session

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a sudden boom of popularity when it comes to action cams and videos using these are popping all over the internet. If you like to travel, sports and social media, an action camera is definitely a must. GoPro Hero 4 Session is the latest and smallest among all of the GoPro cameras.

DJI Phantom 3 Pro

Drones are taking over the cinemas. Aside from GoPros and action cameras, there’s also a buzz on using drones as an action camera if you want to get the bigger picture. You’ll see drones everywhere and is very useful if you can’t physically go to the location you want to shoot at.

Apple MacBook

This year, Apple has released the refreshed version of their MacBook and it looks awesome. Removing some components aside (like the USB ports) and installing a single port to accommodate all kinds of removable tech, this is one of the thinnest laptop we’ve ever seen. Perfect for work and travel.

Apple Watch

There are a lot of smartwatches that were released this year and finally the long wait is over for iPhone users out there. The Apple Watch is a very cool thing to pair with your iPhone and it will sync with it smoothly as a baby’s skin. We aren’t sure yet on what’s the purpose of the smartwatches, but if you have money to spend and you own an iPhone, then by all means buy it.

Apple iPhone 6S

The latest iPhone. For all you Apple fans deep within Apple’s ecosystem, you’re in for a treat. Usually the “S” series get some minor speed bumps here and there, but this year it’s different. Apple made the display ready the pressure of your fingers so it can add a new layer of interaction, dubbed as “3D Touch”. It’s an innovation and expect apps to integrate this. If you want to future-proof your smartphone, buy this.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Okay, so not everyone uses an iPhone. If you’re an android fan and you want to get the latest android phone this year. Get the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, it has some insane specs on par with a laptop and a plus on the stylus if you’re the kind of person who wants to write. Just be careful not to insert it invertedly.

Samsung Gear S2

We all know that Samsung used to make horrible-looking smartwatches, but it looks like now they’re making pretty good ones. The Gear S2 looks futuristic, sharp, has a great display and a rotating bezel that will entertain you all day (if you’re charging). But hey, it’s cool.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 / Microsoft Book

Is it a laptop? Is it a tablet? None! or both. The Surface Pro had some insane specification boost from the previous Surface 3. If you don’t want Apple’s new MacBook, then you can go ahead with this one. And if you want to get the most popular laptop this week get the Microsoft Book, it has the best all-around performance although that hinge is not popular to most of the people.

LG V10

Similar to the iPhone 6S, it has a new innovation to introduce in the tech world – a second display. The secondary display of the V10 has some cool features, but a lot of them is gimmicky. Also, there are two front facing cameras if you want a wide-angle selfie for group shots. The main highlight of this is the manual video recording feature for those who want to take videos to a whole new level.
