Blackberry DTEK50 is now officially available for Php14,990 – Hungry Geeks

The DTEK50 is the 1st smartphone of Blackberry that they didn’t design, yup it was commissioned by TCL which is also the manufacturer of Alcatel. Launched last August 2016, the smartphone was announced as the most secure smartphone of Blackberry. Interestingly, the phone is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Blackberry’s proprietary enhancement for security.

With the launch price of $299.00 USD, the phone was seen immediately at Widget City for Php13,500 which isn’t bad when converted to Philippine pesos. Unfortunately, this doesn’t have warranty support as these are considered as import and still no local warranty.

Memo Xpress recently announced that the new Blackberry smartphone is now available with official warranty. Priced for Php14,990, the DTEK50 carries a fairly acceptable specifications of Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13mp Rear Camera & 8mp front camera with LED and Dual Sim.
