Uber will now accept cash payment – Hungry Geeks

Good news for everyone! Uber Manila just announced that they will now roll out a cash experiment program next week. This means that uber drivers can now accept cash payment from their riders starting October 26, 2015.

By doing this, Uber can now increase their market and ridership because they will now accept customers who don’t have the privilege of having credit cards.

Things to remember:

• For drivers, green screen on the app means that the rider will undergo cash payment while the gray screen will be the usual credit card payment
• For those passing on a toll gate, riders will not be paying for the toll fee as it will be credited on the driver automatically in their app
• Uber drivers will give the exact amount of change
• Uber drivers will not see the payment method unless they accept the booking
