ASUS now offers free 1-year accidental warranty in all of their notebooks | News and Reviews

ASUS is adding more protection services to all their notebooks this 2020. In addition to their included 2-year warranty and premium care, the brand is now including their Platinum Protection Warranty.

The ASUS Platinum Protection Warranty acts as a supplement to their existing warranty programs. It is available to all ASUS, ROG, and ExpertBooks purchased starting January 1, 2020.

This new warranty program will include insurance from:

• Drops
• Falls
• Other Collisions
• Liquid Damage
• Electrical Damage
• Acts of Nature

The Platinum Protection Warranty will include both the notebook and the charger. Any freebies that came with the item, however, will not be covered.

Coverage with the program will include:

• 100% of the Labor Cost
• 80% of the Part Replacement Cost

Though the deal may be good on paper, there are some caveats. The Platinum Care Protection will only be available for the 1st Year of Warranty and can only be used once. Customers will also need to pay the remaining 20% of the replacement part.

If you need to avail of the warranty, there are 99 authorized centers littered across the metro to cater to your needs. Proof of purchase will be needed as well as an intact serial number.
