OPPO A92 launches in PH, Snapdragon 665 and 48MP main camera for PhP 15,995 | News and Reviews

After introducing the Reno3 series in the Philippines, OPPO is adding another midrange smartphone into its ranks: the OPPO A92. Packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip, a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main camera, and a big battery, the A92 is positioned in the aggressive sub-PhP 20,000 range.

Basically an improved version of the A9 2020, the OPPO A9 2020 sports the same size 6.5-inch display though its pixel count has been increased to a more desirable 2400 x 1080. The previous generation’s notch has been removed as well and in its place is the trendy punch-hole at the top-left housing its 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

The OPPO A9 2020 receives a shiny new interior available in Twilight Black, Aurora Purple, and Stream White. A quad camera setup resides on its back composed of a 48MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 B/W lens. OPPO has moved the traditional rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and integrated it to its power button.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 powers the device with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage. Providing juice is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging through its USB Type-C port. It runs Android 10 with OPPO’s ColorOS 7.1 environment, which means that you have access to longstanding features such as Chroma Boost.

The OPPO A92 is now available for pre-order for PhP 15,990 via the brand’s official Lazada and Shopee stores as well as OPPO stores nationwide. Those who will pre-order starting June 20 until June 26, 2020 will get a Rockspace P62 Pro Powerbank worth PhP 1,299 for free.
