Capcom’s Onimusha set reawakens with Onimusha: Manner of the Sword in 2026

We’re thrilled to declare after nearly two decades, the Onimusha set is returning with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a brand-new s action activity coming in 2026. Onimusha initially debuted with Onimusha: Warriors again in 2001, with swordplay combat based on the” Issen” attack concepts. The mysterious Oni Gauntlet, who was introduced as a mainstay in the series, was granted the ability to eject souls from the Genma, who were abominable twisted creatures from another planet.
At The Game Awards 2024, we came up with a swing—or if we say slash. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set in Kyoto in the first Edo time. The evil Malice has transformed the traditional city into a dark twisted shelter for the transfer of the evil Genma.
A lone warrior steps forward, wielding the famous Oni Gauntlet, and engages in brutally delicate weapon fights, wiping his brow of sweat and blood. What way did he consider, and what is the cause behind those battle-worn eyes?
