President Trump made an announcement on April 11 following a year of rises to the buy price for Taiwanese products entering the US. Trump decided he was giving a reprieve on a variety of software products and parts despite the fact that many items would be affected by a high buy price of 145 % at the time.
The exemptions were immediately beneficial to Apple, even though the break itself is not permanent and a semiconductor price is anticipated to become effective in the near future. Trump did confirm that he was in discussions with Tim Cook and that he “aided” him with the tax deduction a few days after.
