Finally, it’s here. First shown on Jimmy Kimmel, the first full trailer for the next Captain America: Civil War was released, and as expected, the Marvel fans and comic book readers went on a geek-spree frenzy with various explanations and speculations. If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:
We already know that this movie is a fight between Cap and Tony and there were so many scenes that was revealed for a trailer and maybe we’ll get to see more as it was just only scratching the surface, but let’s break it down shall we?
Bucky Finally Remembers Cap
About time! The main villain who was The Winter Soldier is back to being a bestfriend of Captain America. He answered Cap’s question on whether he remembered him or not by teasing him about how fat his mom is. Just joking. It was the continuation of the end credits of Ant-Man, and now we know that Cap and Falcon finally found Bucky in an odd situation. Maybe Bucky trapped himself to attain for his multiple murders or he was eventually captured by someone?
General Thunderbolt Ross is Back!
First introduced in The Incredible Hulk in which Bruce Banner was played by another actor (Edward Norton). At the near-end of that movie, Ross met with Tony Stark, so they finally tied the story of the Hulk to other Marvel movies. His character showed that he’s clearly not agreeing with Captain America by stating he’s somewhat a vigilante and that he is out of control with no supervision at all.
It’s connected to The Age Of Ultron
It’s not official but it looks like the Superhero Registration Act was made because by some United Nations because of the destruction that was left by The Hulk and Ironman in the previous movie Age of Ultron. It looks like it was made to keep our superheroes in check, which obviously, Captain America disagrees with. Maybe because Captain America has problems with this considering that he once experienced World War II.
Team Captain America
For the past couple of months everyone is trying to figure out which Avengers would fight on whose side for the Civil War. The last Captain America movie, we saw a team composed by War Machine, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Falcon and Black Widow. For the scenes showed in Civil War, it looks like War Machine (obviously) and Black Widow broke off. We are not yet sure if Natasha is siding with Tony but there’s a scene where he’s warning Steve to back off and Steve answering “What, you’ll arrest me?”. Maybe Ant-man, Vision and Spiderman will join team Iron Man?
Black Panther, represent!
The trailer left us with an early Christmas gift as we got our first real look at Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. He wasn’t introduced or anything, he just stood there for some badass moment for the fans. There were also multiple action shots for the Black Panther that includes running from Captain America and kicking Bucky’s ass. Maybe he’s on the neutral side or on Iron Man’s team? We’ll see.
War Machine will die?
An action trailer wouldn’t be complete if it doesn’t show a possible death scene. If all major characters survived after fighting the whole movie, it would be boring. If you saw the trailer, you’ll see Tony Stark sadly holding War Machine’s lifeless body. There’s no confirmation on what will happen to him. That’s about it. Maybe we missed a few easter eggs in the trailer? Let us know in the comments section below.
