Dell launches Inspiron 7566 – The casual gaming laptop starting 50k – Hungry Geeks

We all love to play while working, the perfect balance of work and play is our ultimate goal especially when having a job that is digitally demanding. Hence, this is the market Dell wants to target with their new Inspiron 7566 laptop.

Powered by either a 6th generation Core i5 or Core i7 processor, the Dell Inspiron 7566 has a GTX960 4GB DDR5 graphics for your gaming performance. Additionally, it has a stylish body that doesn’t shout out gaming but rather just hints.

It has a dual thermal cooling system at the back for both CPU and GPU, similar to gaming laptops today. Aside from the red dell logo and hints of red heat sinks, you won’t see any other hint of a gaming for the laptop even on the keyboard area.

You have the option to have Full HD and a 4K UHD display depending on your preference, while the GTX960M 4GB DDR5 graphics is a bit dated, it can still play most games today with average performance. Though, it’s kind of a deal breaker since the next generation graphics cards are just around the corner.

Dell admits that this isn’t a gaming laptop that competes with other brands that has their own gaming notebook lineup, but rather a laptop that compliments your balanced work and play lifestyle.

Arrow keys aren’t gamer friendly as well

One big advantage is Dell’s premium support with an one-year warranty with on-site visit to repair the laptop. This is a good advantage especially for professionals who certainly need a laptop with good reliability and fast repair turn around rate.

The Dell Inspiron 7566 starts at 49,990 with a Core i5 processor and Full HD screen and goes up to Php79,995 for a 4K UHD screen and Core i7 processor. The first look might be a downer for a true gamer, but it’s a good choice for people who looks for an ultra-slim laptop at the same price range as the building offering has better specifications for casual gaming.
