Dell to release Surface-like tablet XPS 12 – Hungry Geeks
In terms of building laptops, it’s a given that Dell is somewhere at the top. Now the popular company is competing with Apple and Microsoft in the Surface tablet battle. Leaks are now popping out that Dell is reportedly planning to release a tablet with a standalone keyboard dubbed as the XPS 12. Dell’s keyboard for the XPS12 boasts an illuminated keyboard and a trackpad that “works flawlessly.” They’re focusing on the weak points of the Microsoft’s Surface to bring them on top of the A-list.
According to the leaked images, the XPS12 is ahead of the Surface Pro 3 in terms of display where it will feature a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution with a small bezel on the sides. There will also be a stylus like the iPad Pro and Surface 3, and also includes other features like Thunderbolt 3 port, 10-hour battery life, and camera for the front and rear. Sad to say that the processor and RAM were not disclosed. We’ll wait for October if they are going to release this competitor of the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 3.
