Google’s own, Chromebook Pixel was just an experiment that they announced two years ago. The specs they released was really awesome, but for the price that it comes with, maybe a bit off.
Today, Google is launching a new and improved Chromebook with just a price tag of $999. It still has their signature all-metal design just like its older brother. It comes with a Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM but with a poor 32GB SSD.
The price tag may have improved but it is still way more expensive than every other Chromebook in the market.
It is paired with an improved model with Core i7 chip, 16GB of Ram and 64GB of storage that is priced at $1300.
The screen, however, remains untouched. That not really a bad thing cause it already has a 2560 x 1700 touch screen display with a unique 3:2 aspect ratio.
Just like the all-new MacBook, the laptop features a USB-C connectivity that takes care of charging and data transfers. Google, however, does beat the MacBook by including two ports.
Google is claiming that you can get 12 hours of battery on a average use. This pretty incredible if you take note on the crazily large display. When you need to charge, the laptop will use the innovative feature of USB-C’s high power delivery to proved 2 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.
Google is now selling the Pixel in their Google Store, together with all sorts of items. Although it is not yet available in Philippines right now, you can purchase it in the US.
