It’s to no one’s surprise that Sony launched their fabled PS4 Slim, an obviously thinner variant of their successful current-gen console. Since time immemorial, Sony has been hard at work at miniaturizing their products for the sake of simplicity and also for added temptation. We got our hands on a Sony PS4 Slim and we immediately took the opportunity to see the changes that were implemented in the console.
We won’t dive into the details as we have already wrote it in an article before. So without jotting down too much text, here we go:
The vanilla package offers the standard collection of devices: we have the console, a single DS4 controller, a single 3.5mm plug, a USB connector, an HDMI cable, and the power adapter (which requires a separate adapter).
Underneath the PS4, we get stands that are designed to help us remember that circle, triangle, X, and square, are found on the PS4’s DS4 controller. Whoah! 
Here we have a comparison of the rear-side of both the PS4 Slim and the bulky old PS4 (below). Noticeably, the optical output has been ditched to conserve space (who uses it anyway?)
The front of the PS4 Slim still resembles that of the edgy cube of the original. However, we can see that it rounded the corners to make it look more distinct.
Last but not the least, Sony eliminated one of the problems that plague the vanilla PS4, the ghostly manifestations in the old touch button, by replacing the said buttons with physical ones. Hooray!
The Sony PS4 Slim has makings of its senior brother without the added fat and weight, with only 75% of the first-generation PS4’s. The Sony PS4 Slim is but one of the iterations of the PS4, with the Sony PS4 Pro marketed for 4K gaming. The Sony PS4 Slimis currently now available in the Philippines.
