Huawei unveils Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus KFC Edition in China | Hungry Geeks | Latest news

KFC started in the US as Sanders Court & Café in the US back in 1930. The fast food giant, however, was only able to penetrate the Chinese market back in 1987. For KFC’s 30th anniversary in China, Huawei decided to release a KFC Edition of the Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus. It seems that China loves them some KFC.

The Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus KFC Edition is decked out with a 5.5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 435 complemented by 3GB of RAM, a 12MP rear camera, 32GB of storage as well as a fingerprint sensor at the back. The red motif is accented by the usual Huawei logo at the back with Col. Sanders’ face embossed just below the fingerprint sensor. Since this is a special edition phone for KFC’s 30th anniversary in China, only 5,000 units will be sold.

Aside from its, shall we say, special aesthetic, the smartphone will come with 10,000 “KFC dollars.” A digital currency used by KFC in China. A music app is also included that lets you share your music in the restaurant.

There’s no information yet if the KFC Edition smartphone will come to other countries. But hopefully the screen and the fingerprint scanner are oleophobic so you can use the phone without regret while eating some tasty, tasty chicken.
