The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 has officially launched in the Philippines. As one of the most affordable pop-up camera smartphones in the market, the Y9 Prime 2019 brings the notchless display experience to more wallet-conscious consumers.

A pop-up camera smartphone for less

Since there’s no longer any notches on the smartphone, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is able to fully maximize its 6.59-inch 19.5:9 LTPS 2340 x 1080 display. The 16MP f/2.0 camera has been placed on a mechanized pop-up platform at the top.

The smartphone’s rear is a two-tone affair. The top portion comes in a lighter color and sports the triple camera setup of the device. The cameras are composed of a 16MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.

Inside its rather sleek, shatter-resistant chassis is a Kirin 710F chip with 4GB of RAM. The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0. The device gets its power from a 4,000mAh battery charged via a USB Type-C connection.
