Huawei is following up last year’s Y9 Prime 2019 with the Huawei Y9s. The Huawei Y9s largely shares the same specifications as its predecessor with the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, more RAM, and a 48MP main camera being the most significant additions.
The Huawei Y9s comes with a 6.59-inch 2340 x 1080 LTPS display. There’s no notch or punch-holes to be found here since the device comes with a 16MP f/2.2 motorized pop-up camera.
As mentioned, the device now comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of a rear-mounted variant. The camera has also been upgraded with a 48MP f/1.8 main, an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide lens, and a 2MP f/2.4 portrait shooter.
Inside its two-tone chassis (depending on the variant) is a 4,000mAh battery charged via a USB Type-C connection at the bottom. The chip remains the same with a Kirin 710F with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
