Hi all, I’m Jenn, Lead Writer and Voice Producer on Clair Obscur: Voyage 33. Since releasing the match in June, we have been blown away by how well it was received ( as well as by the eagle-eared viewers who identified the tones in the trailers ). We’re delighted to finally show our English words cast and provide more details about our heroes and their world.

It was strange and a pleasure to witness how our amazing voice cast brought these characters to life because we’ve lived and breathed them for a while.
The stars were fantastic to work with ( and just generally excellent people ). During the tracking periods, we had a lot of fun. The solid skillfully captured the complexity of the characters, who have each been affected by the cruelty of their planet. Every character has experienced deep and ongoing damage and has handled this in their own unique approach.
Originally, we introduced four of the characters.
Charlie Cox ( Daredevil ) is the voice of Gustave, the lead engineer of Expedition 33. Gustave has dedicated his life to protecting the city and was raised in Lumière under the paintress ‘ shadow. With his last time ticking away, Gustave is hell-bent on defeating the Paintress and reclaiming a potential for Lumière’s kids.
Jennifer English ( Baldur’s Gate 3 ) plays Maelle, a shy loner eager to escape the constraints of Lumière. Orphaned as a child, Maelle has often felt like an outsider. Her only relationship is with Gustave, her foster nephew. At the age of 16, she sees this as her chance to finally explore the world beyond.
Kirsty Rider ( Sandman ) voices Lune, the chief researcher of the Expedition. In her attempt to overthrow the Paintress and finish her parents ‘ work, Luis is incredibly driven. She is sensitive to the weight of duty and the seriousness of the issues at hand.
Shala Nyx ( The Old Guard ) voices Sciel, a calm and cheerful warrior unfazed by the obstacles ahead. Overcoming her history has made it easier for her to take the odds that were in her favor. They may exert all of their willpower, and it will either be sufficient or insufficient.
In our latest truck, we introduce two new characters.
Some of you adeptly recognized the words of our favorite Ben Starr ( Final Fantasy XVI), who plays Verso, a dangerous man who follows the Mission’s every move.
We asked Ben how he’d identify Verso, and he said, “lost, unhappy, and dangerous”, and that he expects people to experience “every feeling imaginable” as they get to understand his character.
Andy Serkis ( The Lord of the Rings, Black Panther ) plays the role of Renoir, a man persistently driven to protect his home. He knows that success demands devotion, and he’s ready to pay the amount.
Two of our favourite heroes are also playing in our film are Wealthy Keeble and Maxence Cazorla. We’ll discuss more about them quickly.
The development of the characters involved tracing a thorough background of Lumière, each writer’s family background, and considering how previous years have responded to the Paintress. These elements all played a part in who each figure is and what they are trying to accomplish.
In many ways, writing is the best RPG. It’s an expanded thought study where we place our heroes, with their storylines, in these particular circumstances, and move into their shoes. What are they doing? How do they think? How have their previous experience influenced them, and how do they still make those decisions now?
Cast and characters are n’t the only new elements in this trailer. Diligent viewers may have recognized fresh areas, alongside new enemies. In our sensitive turn-based conflict, Golgra and The Tisseur will put your reflexes to the check.
Additionally, we’ve highlighted the game’s more configuration mechanics. Users of the Mission can reach heights and obvious gaps with the aid of the pictos-powered grapple, which increases the speed at which you can explore the world.
Developing the world, the story, and the characters has been deeply satisfying ( and fun and engrossing and maddening ). When the game launches in spring 2025, we are happy and eager to share it with everyone.
We hope you enjoyed yesterday’s reveals! Stay tuned for more details regarding the Clair Obscur: Voyage 33. We have a great deal more to present you, including factors about the world, the game, different personalities, and walk look Behind the Scenes.
