Kango Express – Buy Stuff from Amazon – Hungry Geeks

Kango Express launched last year here in the Philippines and it precisely did what it was meant to do, making it easy for Filipinos to buy things in Amazon. Kango Express have warehouses in the U.S. and in U.K. so if you are planning to buy something on Amazon or any other online stores base elsewhere, you would not need to wait for a balikbayan relative just to get your item.

Kango gave me a 25USD gift card for amazon, and free credits to my Kango account; so why not try the service. Black Friday came and I bought an Anker PowerPort 5 which is priced at 49.99Php but I only got it at 19.98USD.

Here are some tips if you will be purchasing from Amazon using Kango Express:

  1. Make sure you get their address right. You won’t be shipping your item straight to your house here in the Philippines, so make sure the address you put on Amazon is their correct address in the U.S.
  2. I am not sure on this, but I think Amazon charged me a minimal fee for shipping to Kango’s warehouse in the U.S. so checked on that as well.
  3. Check on your Kango account – When Amazon sent the item to Kango’s warehouse in the U.S. it did not had my name on the item. This led for Kango to just leave the item on the side. I had to email Kango’s customer service regarding this with the full information on my item for them to ship the item to me.

The whole process took about a month before it arrived it my doorstep. If you want to register to Kango Express register here.
