LTFRB and DOTr partners with PayMaya for cashless solutions for transport sector | News and Reviews

In order to adapt to the new normal, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Department of Transportation (DOTr) have partnered with PayMaya in order to provide contactless payment solutions in the public transportation sector.

The LTFRB and DOTr have tapped PayMaya in order to deploy cashless payments in transportation back in May. Their full ecosystem solution now covers public transit, transport hubs, gas stations, and delivery services, among others.

Thanks to its end-to-end digital financial services and solutions, PayMaya is now enabling its transportation partners to accept contactless payments through card or e-wallet payments either inside vehicles, in transportation hubs, or through various digital and mobile channels.

In addition, PayMaya is currently in talks with air and water transport providers to adopt cashless payments. By using cashless methods in transactions, these companies can reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus by cash-handling.

Our complete suite of cashless payment solutions can help empower all modes of transportation, from tricycle drivers, to jeepneys, all the way to premium taxis, buses, and other forms of mass transportation around the country,” added Marvin Santos, Enterprise Head for the Public Sector of PayMaya.

Those who do not have a PayMaya account, simply download the PayMaya app for Android, iOS, or the AppGallery and register for an account. This will allow them to enjoy the safety and comfort of paying cashless in transportation and other goods.

Companies and providers who are interested in adopting PayMaya’s cashless solution can get in touch with them via transportation@paymaya.com.
