After Apple sued Qualcomm for 1 billion USD for royalty payments, the California-based tech firm is now looking for other partners to lessen their reliance from Qualcomm.
Based on a report, Apple is looking for suppliers with leading technological competitiveness, comprehensive product blueprints, and reliable logistic support, all of which MediaTek meets. As their dispute with Qualcomm goes on, Apple is looking for other chip makers to get their supplies from.
MediaTek may also bring their chips to other Apple products such as the HomePod and AirPower in the future.
