Meizu announces Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus, comes with Helio 10-core CPUs, dual screens, and dual cameras | Hungry Geeks | Latest news

Meizu has announced its next flagship Android smartphones in the form of the Pro 7 and the Pro 7 Plus. Equipped with dual rear cameras, they improve on the smartphone formula by arming both phones with secondary displays at the back.

The high-end Pro 7 Plus boasts a 5.7-inch QuadHD Samsung AMOLED display at the front while its 2.0-inch secondary display also sports a Samsung AMOLED panel. In terms of computing power, the Pro 7 Plus has a 10nm Helio X30 10-core processor complemented by 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

Its little brother, the Pro 7, comes with less powerful specs, but still pretty decent. At the heart of the Pro 7 is a Helio P25 10-core processor with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Its 5.2-inch display is also using Samsung’s FullHD AMOLED display as well as a secondary screen at the rear.

In terms of camera, both smartphones will carry dual 12MP Sony IMX386 sensors setup like the Huawei P10 Plus, which means one sensor will shoot RGB photos while the other shoots exclusively in monochrome. Meizu claims that this setup allows for better night shots. Meanwhile, located at the front is a 16MP camera.

The secondary screens of the smartphones will be used for notifications, time, weather, music player, and for taking selfies with the rear cameras.

The Pro 7 and the Pro 7 Plus have a 3,000mAh and 3,500 batteries, respectively. Both smartphones will come with Meizu’s quick charge tech known as mCharge. Here are the full specs for both phones:
