Motorola announces latest flagship Moto X Style – Hungry Geeks

At their global event yesterday, Motorola announced their latest flagship phone, the third-generation Moto X Style.

Similar to the previous versions of the Moto X, the newest smartphone will also be customizable. But this is not their main focus, instead their highlight was its powerful specs. This model will be packed with a Quad HD display 5.7-inch screen, a 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front cam with flash. A noticeable difference is that Motorola has gone with a more mainstream dual LED flash positioned just below the lens.

Under the hood, it has a 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM and an initial storage of 16GB that can be extended up to 64GB. It will also house a microSD slot.

The device will run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 with no bloatware or crappy skins. Motorola proudly calls this the “Pure Edition” phone, which means it will come unlocked so you can use the phone on any carriers.

Motorola also boasts that the device can store up to 10 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging in its 3,000mAh battery.

The Moto X Style will cost $399, available in September in the US. The Moto X Style will be available on Motorola.com, Amazon and Best Buy.

Alongside the Moto X Style, Motorola also announced the Moto G and Moto X Play.
