Designed with exotic sports cars in minds, MSI’s newest addition to their gaming laptop range the GE63VR Raider and GE73VR Raider sport an angular design with the innards to do its sports car cousins proud.
Both notebooks comes with SteelSeries’ first ever per-key RGB keyboard. You can customize your RGB setup to tell you your ammo levels, health levels, and other in-game information. Its keys have been ergonomically-designed with 1.99mm of key travel for better response and tactile feedback. Anti-ghosting has also been thrown in for up to 45 keys.
The GE63VR – 018PH comes with a 120Hz 1080p display with a response time of 3ms so you never lose information from your monitor when it comes to gameplay. Aside from its fast refresh rate, color reproduction is boosted with 94% NTSC Color Gamut calibration for better visuals and entertainment experience. HDR content is also helped by its large color range without any obstructions.
Speaking of entertainment, MSI is implementing their Dynaudio audio system inside the Raider. With 5x full range chamber and 3x bigger speakers, it reproduces sound up to 50% more sound volume. All in all, the Dynaudio system comes with 2 speakers and 2 subwoofers to create a fulfilling sound experience.
To cool the innards of the laptop, the Raider comes with the latest iteration of MSI’s Cooler Boost. Cooler Boost 5 comes with dual Whirlwind Blade fans with 7 heat pipes and 4 large airflows to deliver lower temperature to its GPU for better performance.
