If you’re someone who places a great deal of thought on things that nibble on nostalgia, Nintendo has one great thing for you. 33 Years after its original debut, Nintendo just came out with a newer version of the NES, the NES Classic Edition. The name might be confusing, but this time, it is smaller, more advanced, and a lot cheaper.

Adjusted for inflation, the original NES was sold at a whopping US$725. Now, you can get this more portable version for just $60. No news as of yet whether Philippine gaming stores would carry the product. If fate be willing, expect a higher price due to local tax and freight costs.

The Mini NES will be compatible with HDMI outputs and can do without the old-fashioned ‘blow and pray’ cartridges. The device will also support suspend points to keep up with the times, getting rid of the pen and paper password jots. The NES Classic Edition will also be bundled with 30 classic games that can pinch your old, grizzled heart.

Your childhood, reinvented for modern times.

Here’re the games that the new NES carry:

Nintendo, via their Twitter account, unveiled that the NES Classic Edition will be available by the 11th of November.
