New iPhones To Have Sharper and Higher-Resolution Retina Display – Hungry Geeks

Apple’s upcoming iPhone line which is expected to be named as ‘iPhone 6s’ and ‘iPhone 6s Plus’ is rumored to feature a sharper Retina Displays all due to the also rumored screen resolution boost.

A Chinese blog called Fen is claiming information and knowledge that a 4.7-inch ‘iPhone 6s’ will feature a Full HD screen, that is literally matching the 1,920×1080 pixel resolution of the current iPhone 6 Plus. The report is short of giving information of the possible resolution of the next iPhone 6s Plus.

A Full HD has the same vertical resolution as 2K screens (1,080 pixels), existing 1080p content graphics can be more or less easily utilized within the 2K resolution area.

If ever the next iPhone will have a 2K resolution, it will provide a noticeably sharper image when browsing your photos and playing Full HD videos (not that you need it because it is already clear). This means fewer taps and less scrolling through the user interface.

There are also rumors going around the internet of a brand new rose-gold color option being available this coming Apple event. It is packed with an improved Touch ID recognition, strengthened chassis, sapphire-coated screen for the bigger iPhone and 32GB as a new entry-level storage tier which will replace the 16Gb storage.
