OPPO teases “5x” technology – Set to launch at MWC 2017 – Hungry Geeks
MWC is just around the corner and OPPO will be joining the biggest smartphone summit in the world. Teasing a “5x” logo with a caption “So close you can feel it”, this could mean something about zoom as its the trend we are seeing in the industry lately.
OPPO’s new technology called the ‘5x’ project is said to allow OPPO’s smartphone cameras to capture images with unprecedented clarity. We aren’t sure about what is the meaning of 5x, but it could mean optical zoom of up to 5x.
“OPPO’s relentless pursuit of perfection without compromise has given birth to a remarkable technological breakthrough that will change how the world perceives smartphone photography,” said OPPO Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business Sky Li.
“We chose MWC to unveil the ‘5x’ technology in the belief that we can inspire the industry to aim higher, and continue to create pioneering products that give amazing experiences for consumers,” Sky added.
The MWC is scheduled to take place on February 27-March 2 in Barcelona, Spain. There isn’t any announcement yet of any live stream but we will update you if there are.
With OPPO in the top 5 smartphones in the country, its expected for them to ride the momentum and hopefully maintain it. Overall, we’re looking forward to their newest lineup to be the successor of the successful F1 series.
