PS5 will soon be able to play Duskfade’s cheerful get on actions platforming.

Hello PlayStation people! I’m happy to introduce you to Duskfade, a brand-new 3D action-platformer that will be available for PlayStation 5 in 2026. A brand-new action-platformer called Duskfade fuses present play, a profoundly moving story, and the nostalgia of traditional PlayStation games like Jak and Daxter and the classic Ratchet &, Clank games. You play the studio assistant Zirian as he sets out on an adventure to regain time itself to a planet covered in day, visiting exciting locations along the way, all set within a stunning clockpunk world.
The talented Weird Beluga Studio team, a group of devoted fans of action-platformers, is developing the game, which hopes to revive Duskfade’s marvelous, timeless feeling from those beloved, classic titles. Welcome to the world of Duskfade! Check out the brand-new video below.
Duskfade is the kind of task that Fireshine Games actually enjoys: it’s a heartfelt tribute to the golden era of 3D action-platformers, full of engaging gameplay, beautiful world-design, and a heartfelt story that hits all the right notes.
Whether rail-grinding through glass caves or fending off mechanical foes, every action, struggle, and environment has been expertly crafted to experience sensory, energy, and full of momentum. We didn’t wait to release this desire game to players around the world second year because players will bounce, dash, grapple, and fly through beautiful levels that rekindle the magic of traditional action-platformers.
To help you understand the creation team’s perspective for Duskfade better, here are some comments made directly from the group:
With its efficient and quick movements, our game draws ideas from Jak and Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. We want participants to think like Zirian is gliding through the universe, chaining actions easily, and covering significant ranges without losing momentum.
Tomás Manzano Sobrido, Lead Programmer
Duskfade’s fight draws inspiration from games like Ratchet &, Clank, and Kingdom Hearts, with addition mechanics derived from modern action games, such as a responsive dodge roll, layered in to give the action a new and powerful feel.
Esteban Marin Illana, activity custom
Under the vivid visuals and incendiary combat, there is something much more intimate. Zirian and Allira, the siblings Zirian and Allira, are drawn into a strange reality by recollection, grief, and the reflections of their history. It’s a game about navigating reduction, which is influenced by the growth team’s own personal experience, and learning how to hold on to what matters as the game progresses.
When a loved one was your manual and role model, losing them often leaves a heavy wound. That’s what happened to my grandfather’s Ioss. Nevertheless, it gave me the strength and creativity to write this story.
– Narrative Designer Ricardo Chorques Mesa
Weird Beluga’s history began in 2019 when five college companions entered the PlayStation Talents rivals with a love project and won prizes for Best Game and Best Art. They made a huge decision with the help and encouragement from Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain and PlayStation Skills: they dropped out of school, founded Weird Beluga Studio, and started working.
The group that grew up playing on PS1, PS2, and PS3 had a full-circle time when they released their debut name, Clid the Tortoise on PS4 and PS5. That first support from PlayStation helped shape their full development, not just for their first game.
Tomás Manzano Sobrido, Diego Redondo González, and Ricardo Chorques Mesa, three of the team’s classic five engineers, are also working on the studio’s development. We at Fireshine Games are thrilled to work with them to take Duskfade to living.
With Duskfade, Weird Beluga is aiming to make things that transcends being a fun action-platformer. Additionally, the game is a part of a growing number of amateur games that incorporates inclusive perspectives, individual themes, and emotional storytelling.
Duskfade aims to provide something valuable and common to every gamer beneath its spectacle, whether you’ve experienced anguish yourself or are just looking for a game that connects on a deeper level.
We want to create a striking contrast in our match: a vibrant, honest aesthetic with a rich, moving story. Under the lively world of the novel is hidden a history that explores important real-world issues, giving the experience more depth and meaning.
– Lead Artist Diego Redondo González
