After being teased by Realme CEO Madhav Sheth, the Realme X50 has officially launched in China. The smartphone is packing 5G support as well as Android 10 at launch.
The Realme X50 is one of the most powerful smartphones that brand has launched yet. Inside its pretty chassis is a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset that allows enables 5G support for the smartphone.
The chip is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Realme did not indicate in their spec sheet if the device will come with a MicroSD slot, which may be a deal breaker for some people.
The 6.57-inch display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, a FullHD+ resolution, and a 90.48% screen-to-body ratio. Realme is also equipping the display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
At launch, the smartphone will support 5G networks as well as Dual-band WiFi. It will ship with Android 10 installed with the Realme version of the ColorOS 7.0. Inside is a 4,200mAh battery compatible with the brand’s 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging.
Cameras on the X50 are an impressive bunch. The punch-hole on the screen houses a 16MP f/2.0 main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. The rear, on the other hand, has a 64MP main camera, a 12MP 2x telephoto, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. The rear cameras are capable of taking 5x optical zoom or up to 20x hybrid zoom.
The Realme X50 is currently being offered in China in several variants:
- 8GB/128GB – CNY 2,499 (USD 360, PhP 18,000)
- 12GB/256GB – CNY 2,999 (USD 432, PhP 22,000)
- 6GB/256GB – CNY 2,699 (USD 389, PhP 22,000)

The brand is also releasing the Realme X50 Master Edition. Modelled by industrial design master Naoto Fukasawa, the X50 Master Edition will come in two options: Point and Line.

Realme hasn’t confirmed the pricing or the availability of the X50 in the Philippines.
