The 8MP telephoto lens along with the 40MP RGB Main lens has the capability to have 5x Hybrid Zoom. Along with the Optical Image Stabilization of the three lenses, its ability to combine the pixels of each camera to produce a more-clear zoom quality. Additionally, its ability to produce an x10 zoom capability via digital zoom.

As you can see, the details from x3 are great while the x5 is still impressive given the proper amount of light. This zoom capability is definitely useful in certain shots like a landscape in towers, moving objects and even buildings.
The level of detail the P20 Pro produce even in x10 Zoom is still of good quality, its even enough to get license plates for distances of around 80 meters. What’s amazing is the night capability to sort the LED lights of the signages to the environment, with this capability the P20 Pro is sure to impress a lot of users.
