Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20+ officially launched | News and Reviews
After much anticipation, the Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20+ has been officially announced. The latest entry in the Samsung Galaxy S series comes with a ton of advancements such as a better camera setup, a higher resolution screen, and a brand new chip inside.
Samsung Galaxy S20+.
Positioned just behind the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy S20+ comes with all the flagship features that you expect from a smartphone. At the front of the device is a 6.7-inch 20:0 Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 screen with a 3200 x 1440 resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 comes with a smaller 6.2-inch display but has the same Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 screen, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3200 x 1440 resolution.
Although both smartphones’ displays look impressive on paper, they still have a punch-hole design to house a 10MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.
Both devices are encased in a shiny, monolithic black body that hide serious hardware. Inside the S20+ and S20 is the latest Exynos 990 chip. The two devices come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a hybrid MicroSD slot.
The largest upgrade of the Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20+ from its previous iterations is the camera setup. Both smartphone comes with a 12MP f/1.8 Main, a 12MP f/2.2 Ultrawide, and a whopping 64MP f/2.0 Telephoto lens.
The camera setup on both devices allow for up to 30x zoom. Aside from a ridiculous pixel count on the telephoto lens and zoom range, the camera on both devices now support 8K 30fps and 4K 60fps recording.
Of course, mainstay features for Samsung flagships make a comeback in the S20 series. Both the S20 and S20+ comes with Live Focus Video, Wireless PowerShare, IP68 Water and Dust Resistance Rating, as well as support for Samsung DeX.
The Galaxy S20+ is powered by a 4,500mAh battery while the Samsung Galaxy S20 gets its juice from a 4,000mAh battery reserve. Both come with 25 Super Fast Charging to make the charging wait shorter.
