Samsung’s Active series are meant for those who prefer a more vigorous lifestyle where the phone might get mishandled from time to time. Several leaked images on the Galaxy S8 subreddit shows the more rugged design of the S8 Active compared to the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
As seen on the images, the Galaxy S8 Active discards the curved display of the S8 and S8+ for a flat panel. The Bixby button has been implemented on the Active as well, much like the S8 and S8+. The SIM card holder is located on the backside, it can also house a microSD card for additional storage.
Based on the photos alone, it seems that the S8 Active is also thicker than its predecessors due to its 4000mAh battery. Official specifications aren’t available yet but it can be assumed that the S8 Active will have the same specifications as the Galaxy S8.
