Samsung takes on the VR world for everyone with the Gear 360 and Facebook | Hungry Geeks | Latest news
Ever thought of having to do 360 degree videos of your travel, blog or even a place you want to share? Yes VR is available in the market but IT IS EXPENSIVE and currently unavailable for everyone since the camera is limited.
But now Samsung introduced the Gear 360 to pair with the Gear VR to experience 360 video platform for everyone. This tends to remove the perspective of VR for purely in entertainment or games, but also include personal experience to VR. Ultimately this creates the best experience with a new dimension.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg surprised the attendees of the Samsung Unpacked Barcelona with the partnership of Samsung and Facebook. Of course there is no other platform to share VR videos but with Facebook, so both companies have partnered to provide a complete 360 video experience.
The partnership is to provide an easy / convinient experience of VR 360 through easier bandwidth of data, affordable price for the devices and ultimately to as much as possible the cheapest VR solution for everyone to experience.
Right now there is no official pricing for the Gear 360 but Samsung expects the product to be available by Q2 2016. We are looking forward to this new generation of product and what it may provide to other competitors.
