Survey says AMD cards have more stable drivers | News and Reviews
Independent software quality assurance experts, QA Consultants, have released a report that determines that AMD has the more stable drivers in their GPUs over NVIDIA.
The study made by QA Consultants was commissioned by AMD. The study, however, used 6 cards from each vendor for a total of 12 cards. These video cards ranges from gaming cards to more professional graphics cards:
- AMD Cards
- Radeon RX 560
- Radeon RX 580
- Radeon Vega RX 64
- Radeon Pro WX 3100
- Radeon Pro WX 7100
- Radeon Pro WX 9100
- NVIDIA Cards
- GeForce GTX 1050 2GB
- GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
- Quadro P600
- Quadro P4000
- Quadro P5000
The cards were running on 12 identical machines running on Windows 10 Redstone 4 (April 2018 update). All the machines were run for 12 days of 24-hour stress tests where AMD was able to pass at 93% while NVIDIA was only able to pass 82% of the scheduled tests.
