You’ve probably seen a lot of scam letters if you’ve been online for a while, and I’m betting you have. In my day, the traditional 419 scam, also known as the” Nigerian Prince” fraud, or pill purveyors offering near mythical improvement in a very, very particular area, were the most common scam emails.
Although there are still schemes out there, and I still get a good deal of both, the majority of them have taken a backseat to spoofing, which is far more sinister.
