The follow up for the massively successful OPPO F5 is finally here. The OPPO F5 Youth carries over most of what fans loved about its bigger brother such as a 6.0-inch 2160 x 1080 display, an octa-core SoC at 2.5GHz, and Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 at a much lower cost.
Since OPPO is keeping most of the specifications the same, the cost-cutting has to come from somewhere. In this case, the OPPO F5 Youth has a slight lower megapixel count on both front and rear cameras. The rear camera now has a megapixel count of 13MP with an aperture f/2.2 with autofocus while the front camera is a 16MP camera and an aperture of f/2.0 with OPPO’s trademark AI beautification.
As for processing power, the OPPO F5 Youth still has the MediaTek MT6763 octa-core SoC with a clock speed of 2.5GHz although the RAM has been downgraded to 3GB instead of 4GB from the OPPO F5. Here are the specifications of the OPPO F5 Youth:
