Enter a world of darkness where nothing is divine and no one is reliable, where anything that can be bolted down is a gold or a menace, and where only the smart survive. Allowed to Thick As Criminals, coming to PS5 in 2026.
Hello from the crew at Otherside Entertainment! A online stealth-action sport called Thick As Thieves is based on interactive classics like Thiefand Deus Ex. The music that we grew up with was created by our studio members Warren Spector and Paul Neurath. We adore the feeling of being a master criminal, perched in the dark, and wandering the living spaces of these activities. But, we also want to examine these worlds up. So, we began Thick As Bandits with this fascinating thought of” criminal vs. criminal” where you weren’t really stealing from wealthy lords, but against other players in high-stakes, high-tension cunning duels.
With your body alive, you take on the role of a king thief on dangerous missions to rob wealth, gain prestige, and escape. You work for the Bandits Guild, a covert criminal organization that outfits you, punishes your plays, and pays you a bailout if you are found guilty. Every day you move out onto the rooftops with a vision, a strategy, and a devilish bag of tricks. Will you steal the great treasure, ascend the Guild ladder, and be the ace performer? Are you going to get the egotist, putting money in your hands while your competitors slash each other? Or do you have a deeper motivation that draws you to the surface and gives your tale its opening?
Your robber’s method is usually specific: which tools you select and how you melody them, whether you prefer to get in from above or below, loud or calm, with a song or with a fist, every thief’s approach may be special. As you finish runs and receive cash and fame, you grow your robber’s abilities and their profession. Gain access to new products and skills, then customize them to your taste. Try a different loadout each moment, changing your plan of action accordingly. As vision variation and introduction mean every run is a new challenge, expertise of a wide range of covert skills is crucial to success.
Your market is Ordene, a dirty, depressing city full of gold for grabs. It’s an ancient metropolis at the dawn of the 20th centuries in a world where magic is true, market is booming, community is restless, and everyone is looking out for themselves. Everywhere you turn, risk and opportunity are present, and only the clever you cut through the dangers to win the big prize. You’ll encounter a cast of intriguing people, ranging from corrupt nobility to wise commoners to enigmatic vagrants who may not be entirely people. Some people are unsafe only if they give you away, but others are on the Guild’s pay and willing to help you out.
Guards patrol the streets and the homes of the wealthy and powerful, and they’ll never back down when they catch you on their ground. Security is usually limited and frequently supernatural; a watch can be put down, but an enchanted vision or electronic capture always sleeps. You’ll need plenty of expertise and excellent equipment, but above all you’ll want prudence and careful observation. Find out what to take and where to locate it. Study the weak points in opponent guards, the windows left unlocked, the darkness and hiding locations. Speed is important, but information is critical.
Your competitors are another master thieves, each with their own specific characteristics and tactics. The Guild doesn’t head if you get in each other’s way – fiercely, even – as long as someone brings home the products. The most powerful activity of Hide and Seek you’ve actually played is this, first and foremost, that is at the heart of Thick As Thieves. A cunning thief may beat guards, break through locks, subdue traps, bypass locks, and lay their hands on the beautiful idol just to hear fitted footsteps ahead and a gas grenade’s hiss signaling their terrible end as another thief robs their haul.
All that precious treasure is yours to take if you can fool the guards and outwit your rivals. As many gems and trinkets as you can fit into your pockets. But even if you’re knocked out or just come home with empty pockets, there’s always another heist to be had. When Thick As Thieves debuts on PS5 in 2026, you have a chance to demonstrate that you are the best thief in town.
