It seems that Samsung is bringing back the rotating camera smartphone with the Galaxy A80 .
Instead of having a front-facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy A80 comes with a rising and rotating camera. It’s cameras are composed of a 48MP f/2.0 main shooter, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a depth sensor.
Since there’s no front-facing camera, Samsung was able to remove any notches on the display. This allows the smartphone to have a New Infinity Display: a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2400 x 1080 resolution.
Its display also supports on-screen fingerprint scanning thus allowing Samsung to remove the traditional fingerprint scanner at the rear.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by an octa-core chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there’s no support for MicroSD cards.
The whole device gets its juice from a 3,700mAh battery. It’s USB Type-C port at the bottom supports 25W Super Fast Charging. It’s also worth noting that the A80 doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack .
