Western Digital announces a new, high-capacity 10TB hard drives which is designed for enterprise usage. The WD Gold 10TB data center hard drives features HelioSeal helium technology for high capacity, power efficient storage for datacenter environments.
Applications for this new WD Gold ranges from small to medium scale enterprise servers and storage, to rack-mount datacenter servers and storage enclosure. WD promises to reduce the “Total Cost of Ownership” with existing WD Gold 8TB drives users with 8% operating power reduction while delivering 25% more capacity.
WD Gold 10TB datacenter hard drives provide:
