Who are the biggest losers of the Note7 bonanza – Hungry Geeks

Korean electronics giant Samsung just announced the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note7, this results a radical shift in the industry and here are the biggest losers of this mishap.

5. Telco Operators

Usually when a flagship phone of Samsung is launched, telcos bundle their best deals to aquire more customers and build up better reputation.

Unfortunately, this backed fired to them with the recalls and how the company can react to the incident by providing details for the recall and how fast is their turn around rate. For this case, the customer service and public relations of the telcos were tested as angry customers were left hanging about their device.

4. Customers

Yup, even customers are loser by literary loosing a choice of one of the best smartphone today. This scrapes off one big contender in your list of smartphones to consider and not to mention customers who already purchased the device.

Imagine their Php40k investment currently gone until they replace it with another choice and even has a chance to get injurged cause of the device.

3. Retailers

As Philippines still has a big sales chuck for openline phones, think of all the units (estimated 6,000+) that is sold in the PH. Some units aren’t even paid yet as they may be via credit card installment, so think of the nightmare retailers will endure to get their investment in the Note7 back.

2. Accessory Makers

Yup, accessories. Various accessory brands already made cases especially for the Note7 way before the launch. Imagine the loss of sales in all of their cases as they are now literally useless now.

They better just recycle their cases as early as now to avoid their inventory going to waste. We feel more for Samsung as they made a lot of accessories similar to the S7 line same for the Note7.

1.Samsung

As early as now it is estimated that Samsung will loose at least $17 Billion Dollars with the recall of all Note7 units.

Samsung recently hit the all time low in stocks and it will need hard work plus an innovative product to bounce back into the flagship game ASAP.

We also condemn any competitor brands mocking Samsung at this state as karma may easily go back to them. This isn’t the time and mock your competitor, but simply stand out with your product.
