The Xiaomi craze might be over, but the Chinese giant known for affordable devices especially with their mobile phone line-up is still aggressive in putting out relevant gadgets. Xiaomi announced the new Amazfit smartwatch as the latest in a growing sea of Xiaomi products.
The Xiaomi Amazfit is a fitness-first smartwatch made by Huami, a Xiaomi sub-brand. The watch runs on a customized OS but closely works with your Android via the Mi Fit app. Surprisingly, Xiaomi manages to fit in a GPS sensor inside its 1.34″ display. Xiaomi claims that this is the world’s first 28nm GPS sensor. The Amazfit also packs a 1.2GHz processor with a 512MB RAM, a 4GB storage, a heart rate sensor, IP57 water/dust resistance and a 5 day – 200mAH battery (30 hours when GPS is turned on).
Amazfit is priced at 120USD or around below 6,000Php if it will be available locally.
